Ingredients
For Rice
- 3 cups cooked premium basmati rice
- 1 tsp sesame oil
For Chicken
- 500g boneless chicken cubes
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Korean chili paste (gochujang)
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1 tsp honey
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
Vegetables
- 1 carrot (julienned)
- 1 red bell pepper (sliced)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 2 green onions (sliced)
- 1 cup cabbage (shredded)
Sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp chili sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 1 tsp brown sugar
Garnish
- Sesame seeds
- Fried egg (optional)
- Fresh green onions
Instructions
Step 1 – Prepare the Chicken
In a bowl, mix chicken with soy sauce, gochujang, garlic paste, honey, salt, and pepper.
Marinate for 20–30 minutes.
Step 2 – Cook the Chicken
Heat oil in a wok or large pan.
Cook the marinated chicken on high heat until smoky, caramelized, and fully cooked.
Remove and set aside.
Step 3 – Stir-Fry the Vegetables
In the same pan, sauté onions, carrots, cabbage, and bell peppers for 2–3 minutes until slightly crisp.
Step 4 – Prepare the Sauce
Mix soy sauce, chili sauce, oyster sauce, vinegar, and brown sugar in a small bowl.
Pour the sauce into the pan and stir well.
Step 5 – Add the Rice
Add cooked basmati rice and sesame oil.
